[PenDems (57)] First Friday Forum with Senator Nesselhuf

Please join us for our second Friday Forum, featuring State Senator Ben Nesselhuf (D-Vermillion) and State Senator Tom Katus (D-Rapid City)

Senator Nesselhuf represents District 17 in the South Dakota Legislature and has been active in recruiting and supporting Democrats for the state legislature throughout the state.  He will provide us with insights on the session and prospects for a Democratic Majority in the state senate next year.  Senator Tom Katus will provide us with the latest information on key legislation.  Senator Tim Johnson and Representative Stephanie Herseth Sandlin will brief us, as well.

January is off to a great start, with the first West RIver Crackerbarrel on Saturday and lots of things coming up. Saturdays 9-11 am: Jan 12, 19;  Feb 16, 23
Tom Katus plans to meet before the crackerbarrels at Black Hills Bagels (913 Mount Rushmore Road) beforehand as last year to update us on what he and our West River legislative delegations have been doing in Pierre the previous week.

Jan 21 - Martin Luther King Day Of Service
Our own Rick Livesey and others have planned a special MLK Day of service event. Come to The Journey from 1-5pm on Monday, Jan 21,  Free admission, come and enjoy good food and music. Bring a gift for a cultural gift exchange (more details to come).
