PenDems Celebrate Cinco De Mayo

Here are some pictures from the First Annual Cinco De Mayo Fiesta held on May 5, 2007. What a great gathering it was of PenDems and others in the community in honor of Teri Powell and the values we share, full of fun and adventure!
Unless otherwise noted, photos are courtesy of Suzanne Iudicello. Thanks Suzanne!

We sold more than 1600 raffle tickets for the Mexican Get-Away Trip for Two. Martha Studt of Custer won the grand prize drawing. Volunteers (from left) Lois Facer, Jean Katus, Kim Henderson and Thea Geotas get ticket stubs into the raffle barrel.

The Central High School Spanish Club sold sopapillas at the Cinco de Mayo Fiesta.

Suzanne and Tom did some door prize drawings and of course the big raffle drawing. Also, a few nifty items were also auctioned to benefit the PenDems. (Photo: Price)

The Munoz family put on a feast of enchiladas.

Kids and adults alike enjoyed the parrots.

Music by Impacto Norteno brought sunshine and fiesta atmosphere, despite the downpour on Cinco de Mayo. More than 400 people celebrated the First Annual Teri Powell Memorial Family Fiesta with the Pennington County Democratic Party. Impacto Norteno traveled to Rapid City from Omaha. Their authentic, high energy music made the fiesta a success.

Serenade!

Ritchie Nordstrom led us in some Mexican dancing. (Photo: Livesey)
