[PenDems (216)] Welcome our Chairperson!


I hope you will all welcome Nathaniel (Nate) Mason as the new Chair of the Pennington County Democrats.  Nate is currently a student at Black Hills State and hopes to soon be working in Rapid City as a youth minister.  He has several campaigns under his belt working for the Daschle campaign and most recently served as the westriver director for the Healthy Families campaign.

Nate accepted the nomination at last nights meeting and pledged make serious efforts to build our party in Pennington County.  Nate also wants to make himself available to any democrats in Pennington County.  If your interested in contacting him, please email nkmdem@gmail.com or call 605-685-0305.

We will be electing a new County Party Chair and apppointing a Candidate to fill the vacant position for House in District 35 which has been vacated by Fern Johnson.

[PenDems (211)] Belle Fourche Parade - from the Herseth Campaign

Stephanie Herseth Sandlin will be in the Belle Fourche parade on the 4th of July, and she would be honored if the Pennington County Democrats would join her in the parade.  We will be walking, stickering, passing out candy, and signing up people to join the campaign!  Stephanie is excited to be West River on the 4th of July and would love to see all of you there!  Here are the details:

Parade begins at 10:30AM

Come join the PenDems at Memorial Park July 4!


There is no Heritage Fest this year, but there will be a downtown celebration!

Sen. Tom Katus, the Democratic candidate for South Dakota Treasurer, and
other candidates will be part of the celebration.  You are invited to
come out to Memorial Park and enjoy the event -- and support our candidates!

We could use help at the booth, so email back if you can help and when.
Setup will be about 2:30 pm, teardown at 9 pm.
