The State of South Dakota has information about the 2007 Legislative session online now. There are some nifty new features, so do check it out. The Legislature's calendar is online as well.http://legis.state.sd.us/sessions/2007/

3. PenDems meet, Wed. Jan 3, Labor Temple
The PenDems December meeting will be postponed a week to Wed. Jan 3. This is the year we prove to soon-to-be-former SD Repub chair Randy Frederick that the 2006 Democratic gains in South Dakota were not an "aberration," but the beginning of a long-term shift in South Dakota. We'll be watching the legislature and working hard for Dem values in 2007.... So come on out and be a part of it! See you there!

The topic wll be: Western Dakota Technical Institute and the Voc-Tech system in South Dakota. This year, the Legislature is considering putting WDTI under the umbrella of the University System, instead of local school districts. The speaker will be Dr. Rich Gross.
