[PenDems (313)] May 24 PenDem meeting

Pennington County Democrats

Our Cause is Just.

Thomas Jefferson, 1775

Dear Friend,

I ask but a few moments of your time.

            Would you like to:

ü  Help elect a South Dakota Congressman who will promote, not obstruct, the common good?

ü  Help elect George McGovern's grandson, Matt McGovern, to fight for the consumer on the Public Utilities Commission?

ü  Help build a two-party system of government that holds officeholders accountable to serve all citizens, not just a chosen few?

If your answer is "yes," then we invite you to join our growing ranks by serving as a precinct committee person for your precinct.  Some of us have been seated on the sidelines for far too long.  I, for one, finally got tired of sitting and decided to stand up.  When will you?

The Pennington County Democratic Party will conduct a very important election at its next monthly meeting on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. at the Rapid City Public Library, Helen Hoyt Meeting Room at 610 Quincy St. in Rapid City.  At this meeting, we will elect two committee persons from each county precinct to serve for two years and help build the local party and support its principles.  If you're unable to serve as a precinct committee person, we of course welcome you to join us and actively participate in our cause.  If you desire to serve as a precinct committeeperson, please inform me by May 4 via e-mail at chair@pendems.org or by U.S. mail at 730 South Street, Rapid City, SD 57701.

            Join us.

                                                                        Sincerely,

                                                                        Mike Wilson, Chairman

                                                                        Pennington County Democratic Party
