2. Martin Luther King Day Potluck
Come join the PenDems in celebration of the life and legacy of Dr.
King. We will meet at the Labor Temple, 922 E St Patrick St, on
Monday Jan. 15, Martin Luther king Jr. Day, at 6 pm. Our own Malcom
Chapman is featured speaker, Pot Luck meal, videos - "King-Montgomery
to Memphis" and "I Have a Dream Speech", and recordings of other Dr.
King speeches.

3. Party for (with) Judy Duhamel Jan 20
Please join with us to show our heartfelt thanks to Judy Duhamel for
her many years of public service to the community. Bill Walsh will
also be honored. All Are Welcome!!
Saturday, January 20th, 6-8pm. Dublin Square Pub, Radisson Hotel,
Downtown Rapid City. No RSVP neccessary. Just show up to toast a
great friend.

4. Legislative Session starts
Tuesday was the first legislative day, and it included the swearing-
in of our own Sen. Tom Katus, with the backdrop of moderate
Republicans joining with Dems on issues we have long been fighting
for: a higher minimum wage, equitable health care, investments in
education, and real dialogue to bring about change. Our Democratic
values, which promise a place at the table for everyone, are moving

5. Join PenDems as we build the future
Your help is needed in setting direction and building PenDems to
build change in South Dakota and the Nation. Please choose one (or
two) committees that match your interest and ability and come help
make it happen! Bring a friend!! The following meetings are scheduled
at this time:
